Lakefront Fixed Gear Red Ale

Beer: Lakefront Brewery Fixed Gear Red Ale
Beer, like most things, is better in a hammock
Aroma: There it is. Cascade mothaf*%$!er. I am assuming its cascade, but if it isn’t it’s a hop that starts with a C and kicks ass. Deep grapefruit aroma that is really pungent.

Taste: Imagine a hoppy cascade IPA, with all its grapefruit and bitterness, with an added punch of lots of caramel flavor.

Mouthfeel: The body is medium, definitely not light and crispy.

Worth a try?: Yep, an amber ale with lots of floral hop aroma and grapefruit taste. I’ve kind of evolved in my beer swillin and a pure IPA doesn’t tickle my pickle the way it used to. If a beer doesn’t have a malt backbone and some body, it isn’t a complete beer.
